Pfew I can see why this took you so long! First thing I thought was "Argh, so many characters!" I admire you patience with the wood veins, once can see you love wood!

The guy in blue's head is a bit big... but I love the expression of the old bartender. Looks like he's thinking "Oh there he goes again!"

Off to try and finish my entry...

Yes, I know what you mean about his head, it took an unexpected path once the brush was on the paper ;-) the wood grain was fun - now I want to try the picture from behind the bar with the rest of the occupants in the background (I just need a little more time :-))

Thanks for the comments!

Nice one Graeme! And Dragonlady stole my words when she said 'I can see why it took you so much time to complete..' heh.

I guess with my comp problems, I won't be able to do anything for this month theme, but I'll try to vote still.

Awesome work, really. Bravo! ;)

Thanks, you may get time to submit something if your computer decides to play nicely.

From forum: Yes, it is a good one. It's got a real folk-artsy type feel. Really neat composition. Very good technique as far the aquarelle is concerned. Good stuff. :-)

You're welcome, Graeme, I finally decided to upload the sketch I did for Houses of healing.

I now know what the problem is with my computer (and that's in fact a Windows XP bug) so I'm relieved to know that the computer is not in cause, but there's no 'cure' for the XP problem yet... Happy holidays! :D

Not as good as Teniers (the younger?) with his tavern scenes, but you're getting there. 8-)

Thanks,I enjoyed doing this one, I would like to do it again looking from the bar itself over the Inn.
